My soul is an island, yet my car is a Toyota...

My soul is an island, yet my car is a Toyota...
The greatest struggle for me in today's time is, well its an age old struggle for all I must admit.  The constant and continuing struggle of; 'The Battle With Oneself'.

Never have I encountered a more worthy opponent to match my whits against.  Cunning and vindictively manipulating, charismatic sociopath with a flare for dramatic and grand victories.  He is truly the arch Nemesis Marvel Comics has build an empire on. And all I have to do, is merely doubt myself for one second to have him appear.
'Will I be able to do this...?' 'What do they think of my performance...?' 'Am I good enough to do accomplish my dreams...?'  Simple questions we all ask ourselves now or then, irrespective if we have unwavering confidence in ourselves, its merely just for the reassurance to ourselves we ask, but for me its a catalyst to a mental battle that wages on long after the opportunity has come and past.

There is nothing worse than the doubt of oneself.  It is the mental defeat, the surrender to the opposing force, long before first blood is taken. As the teachings of Sun Tzu's Art of War, one must never under estimate, nor even over estimate ones opponent, for that is the defeat before the battle.

Yet I have over the years, learned to grow from this, learn to use this arch nemesis existence to better myself.
For its only when we look within ourselves, that all doubt is cleared, and we take our rightful stance in the bettering of who we are.

As the battle rages on me and myself, so too will I continue to fight, my soul is an island where I find the serenity of my ages, yet my car is a Toyota, and I struggle with it sometimes.

Good day, and good luck.

To Tomorrow, may it hold a brighter sky for you.

It is a harsh fact that a man can loose his loved ones, his wealth, his place in society, his earthly belongings, he can even loose the cloths off his back. This for the simple fact, that there is no control within the realm of society, and any unexpected valuable can strip it from you.

What cannot be striped from you is your character.  It is your cloths when you are naked, it is your right to this world when you have lost all, it is the memory of loved ones no longer within our lives that shine from within your character.  Your character will forever be the companion, the teacher, the dictator, the fighter and the saving grace to a fallen soul.  No outside entity, no unexpected valuable can strip if from you, nor can they tarnish your worth against it.  I fear that dishonour is reserved for the barer of the character.

Good day, and good luck,
