We are the teachers and learners of our being...

"The direction in which education starts a man, will determine his future life..."  - Plato 428 BC - 348 CC

When the great philosopher in 428 BC wrote this, he was referring to the need to educating oneself, that one day that education will be your main source of providing.  That our children being the future of this world will be driven to learn more, understand greater and to strive for that what is most important, knowledge.

Fast forward a millennium and some years later, although the word still stands great today and I will utter the words once more; "The direction in which education starts a man, will determine his future life..." and the principal meaning behind it still speaks out to our educational structure.  We as humans are failing at it drastically!  it is not the education of institutions I refer to, but the education of being a person, a living, thinking, acting, interacting, connecting human being.  We are failing at it greatly.

With abundance of empathy I understand that we cannot blame the lamb for suckling on tainted milk, but yet still we are the providers of the milk, we nurture a infant with poison and see it grow into something we deem life to have forced him into being, instead of taking ownership that this "entity" in front of us is, a product of our own hands.
Do not look to institutions to teach the young what you can teach them.  Do not look at the rules of society to guide them in living to accordance to what they know, but to show society that they are "taught" in the ways of the being.
And by doing so, our responsibility towards man is a double edge sword crafted by the powers that be, we in teaching, learn as well.

Good day, and good luck
